*How do I create data feeds on my web site? If you like to provide data feeds on your web site without installing any software, Ufeed is the simple and easy (and free) web site for you. You first use Ufeed web site to create your data resources and generate data feeds on the web, all in semantic web standard RDF format. Then, simply copy the feeds' URLs and insert them into your own web pages. When your visitors click on the inserted data feed links, Ufeed will serve the data feeds for you. *What types of data feed can I create using Ufeed free web site? You can use Ufeed web site to create data feeds for products, news, events, jobs and studies. RDF feed and RSS2.0 feed are available for each type of data. News also has Atom feed in addition. RDF feed contains the complete set of properties you input for each piece of your data, which is in RDF format, a semantic web standard. They can be read by RDF-aware web browser or reader. RSS2.0 feed include only a few data properties (bacause of the limitation of RSS2.0 specs), but can be read by feed readers that support RSS2.0 format. *What feed format should I use on my web site? We recommend to use all available feed formats that Ufeed creates for you. At present time, each format has pros and cons, and so it's not wise to exclude any. Hopefully, RDF feed will graduately become the only choice in the near future because it is the foundation of the emerging semantic web evolution. *How to sign up/in? Before using this free service to create your data feeds, please sign in with email address and password. For a new user, please also provide your full name and an account name (i.e. xyz.com) for signing up an account. Your account provides a private workspace where you can create data resources and generate data feeds. *How to change account settings? Click the account name on top right corner or account settings link on the left menu. Change your account information or password, and then click "Update". You may close your account anytime. *How to view my data feeds? Click my data feeds link to see a list of data feeds available to you. RDF data feed is available for each data category, while news has RSS and Atom feeds in addition. Click a feed link to see the data feed in RDF/XML presentation. To provide these data feeds on your own web site, simply insert the feed links into your web page. This list shows the total number of data available and the number of data included in each feed. Clicking the data number link will show the data list for the feed. The number of times the feed were accessed and the last access time are also listed for each feed. *How to update my data feeds? From my data feed list, click the feed title to change feed setup. The data start time determines which data will be included in the feed. Moving start time backward will include more data if available, while moving start time forward will exclude more data from the feed. After input or modify feed properties, click "Update" button to save the changes. *How to add data (i.e. reate my data resources)? From my data feed list, click the "Add" link to add new data of a specific category. Alternatively, from my data list or my product data list, click add product link to add product data. After input data properties, click "Add" button to save the new data. *How to update my data? From my data list or my product data list, click the data title to change the data. After input or modify data properties, click "Update" button to save the changes. From my data list of a specific category, you may also delete any or all data. *How to view my data and data resources (RDF)? Click my data link on left menu to list all my data of any category. Click a specific data category like Product to list data of that category. Each piece of data is given an URI (i.e. data resource), which returns the data object in RDF format. From data list of any category, the data are also marked whether or not they are included in the feed. You may change the feed start time to include or exclude more data.
